This is the continuing saga of the house/garage. My computer learning has had to take a back seat for a few weeks, this is because the garden began to grow, as they do, and i had to subdue it before it turned into a jungle, this of course means my computing skills, such as they were, have returned to zero. so far i have managed to lose all my typing, plus all the pictures i had uploaded

This is how i solved the problem of lifting the cage up and down the liftshaft, the corks on the winding handle provide friction to hold the cage in any position in the shaft

The interior of the building has now been finished off,a carpet has been fitted to the upstairs living quarters, and floor tiles have been added to the small room downstairs.

Gosh, the conversion is going well. Someone is going to be very pleased with it!
I gave my parents a piece of calligraphy which reads:
"A garden is a thing of beauty
And a job forever"
Such an appropriate mis-quote!
Best wishes to you
PS. My DH recently went to Mr Moggs Inn - actually the Tom Mogg Inn - in Somerset recently. We must meet up there next time you come down to Glasto!
