A walk in the woods recently showed this nice splash of colour, also the birds were singing their little hearts out, I nearly joined in but did not want to frighten them.

The games board continues to evolve into something resembling countryside, the river beginning to rage just a little bit.

Cannot make up my mind at the moment concerning the river crossing, stepping stones or a bridge.

One of the features in the process of growing.

A long view of the (almost) completed side of the board.

Turns out lovely! Really interesting terrain for a wargamer, with all the slopes and difficult terrain.
A little tip for the river: You can get a nice wet effect on it by putting a layer of slightly water thinned PVA glue on top, it will dry up translucent and give a nice wet sheen to it, while not as crystal clear as varnish would be. Experiment on a similar colour surface first to get an idea of how it turns out.
